As the Laughlin/Bullhead International Airport continues to work toward the restoration of scheduled airline service, the 25-year old award-winning facility continues to be one of the busiest non-metropolitan passenger airports serving Arizona and Nevada. Even without regularly scheduled service, the airlines at Laughlin/Bullhead International airport now operate non-stop and one-stop flights from a record 130 different cities across the U.S. and Canada. Laughlin/Bullhead International Airport serves the Tri-state area of Laughlin, Nevada, Bullhead City, Arizona, and Needles, California. It was named the 2011 Arizona Airport of the Year. Daily commercial charters are operated by Sun Country Airlines with Boeing 737s and Republic Airways with Embraer 190s, for the Riverside Resort and Harrah’s Laughlin. Additionally, the airport is the main base for Tri-state CareFlight, a helicopter and fixed wing air ambulance company. Fixed base operations for general aviation, business aircraft, military and commercial flights are provided by Landmark Aviation.
The Airport is located just east of the Colorado River in the northern section of Bullhead City. It is operated by the Mohave County Airport Authority. It occurs when the body’s immune system attacks and destroys the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas, called beta cells. While its causes are not yet entirely understood, scientists believe that both genetic factors and environmental triggers are involved. Its onset has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle. There is nothing you can do to prevent T1D, and—at present—nothing you can do to get rid of it. While people with T1D rely on insulin therapy to control their blood sugar, insulin is not a cure nor does it prevent the possibility of the disease’s serious side effects. Diabetes is the name given to disorders in which the body has trouble regulating its blood glucose or blood sugar levels. There are two major types of diabetes: type 1 and type 2. Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is an autoimmune disease in which a person’s pancreas stops producing insulin, a hormone that enables people to get energy from food. Type 2 diabetes is a metabolic disorder in which a person’s body still produces insulin but is unable to use it effectively.
JDRF is the leading global organization focused on type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Driven by passionate, grassroots volunteers connected to children, adolescents, and adults with this disease, JDRF is the largest charitable supporter of T1D research.

JDRF’s goal is to progressively remove the impact of T1D from people’s lives until we achieve a world without T1D. Diabetes is serious disease that you cannot treat on your own. The main goals of diabetes treatment are to make sure you feel well day-to-day. To prevent or delay long-term health problems. The best way to reach those goals is by taking insulin, eating a healthy diet and exercising regularly. There are some important signs of the treatment work. You should get an A1C test at least twice a year. It will help you keep track of how well you are controlling your blood glucose levels. The A1C test is a blood test. It provides information about a person’s average levels of blood glucose over the past 3 months. The A1C test is the primary test used for diabetes management and diabetes research.
