Excluded from this sector are aerobic classes in Subsector 713, Amusement, Gambling, and Recreation Industries and nonmedical diet and weight reducing centers in Subsector 812, Personal and Laundry Services. Although these can be viewed as health services, these services are not typically delivered by health practitioners. Here is a full list of video credits http://broadcaster.beazil.net/public/credits/youtube/videos/177904 Founded by parents determined to find a cure for their children with T1D, JDRF expanded through grassroots fundraising and advocacy efforts to become a powerhouse in the scientific community with more than 100 U.S. locations and six international affiliates. We’ve funded nearly $2 billion in research to date and made significant progress in understanding and fighting the disease. We must keep up the pace of funding so progress doesn’t slow or stop entirely. You’re the reason for our success. Every dollar we put toward research comes from donations. So when you support JDRF with your time, talent, voice and, yes, your money, you enable us to advance even more research. The ABCs of diabetes are: “A” stands for “A1C” – it shows what your average blood sugar level has been during the last few months. “B” stands for “blood pressure” – if you have diabetes, controlling your blood pressure is very important. High blood pressure puts you at risk for heart attack, stroke, and kidney disease. “C” stands for “cholesterol”, which a waxy substance found in the blood. High cholesterol is another factor that increases your risk of heart attacks, strokes, and other serious problems. By keeping your ABCs under control, you can lower your risk health problems by a lot. There should be special ABCs levels. Waxahachie, Texas, in Ellis county, is 26 miles S of Grand Prairie, Texas (center to center) and 28 miles S of Dallas, Texas. The city has a population of 21,426. The history of Waxahachie dates back to the 1840s. The community’s first settler, E.W. Rogers, arrived in 1845 and built his home in the present-day territory of the city. According to records, the name “Waxahachie” means “cow creek” or “buffalo creek” in a Native American language. However, it has also been translated as “cow manure” by Frank X. Tolbert, author of “An Informal History of Texas”. Waxahachie was officially incorporated in 1871. The arrival of railroad in 1879 furthered development of the community. JDRF prioritizes its funding for type 1 diabetes research in four interrelated therapeutic areas: autoimmune therapies, β-cell therapies, prevention of complications, and glucose control. Each therapeutic area encompasses a diverse portfolio of research programs that span from exploratory to preclinical proof-of-principle and on to clinical proof-of-concept research. The organization’s overarching strategy focuses on addressing critical gaps and challenges, catalyzing innovative and transformational research, advancing and translating research, creating collaborations, and accelerating time lines at all stages of research development. JDRF has led the search for a cure for T1D since our founding in 1970. In those days, people commonly called the disease “juvenile diabetes” because it was frequently diagnosed in, and strongly associated with, young children. Our organization began as the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. Later, to emphasize exactly how we planned to end the disease, we added a word and became the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.Today, we know an equal number of children and adults are diagnosed every day—approximately 110 people per day. Thanks to better therapies—which JDRF funding has been instrumental in developing and making available—people with T1D live longer and stay healthier while they await the cure.
