A scientific approach about depression within everyone’s reach.
Depression is a worldwide issue and it is estimated that in 2020 it will become the second leading illness after cardiovascular diseases. As it is a common disorder in the developed countries, people tend to play down its importance and everyone seems to be an expert on the field. However, depressive disorders are more alarming than we think. It’s a physiological disease rather than only a psychological disorder, which is something that people tend to forget and see only as a weakness. We should encourage society to learn how to cope with
this disease and to be aware that it should be taken as seriously as diabetes, stroke or cancer. It can become chronic and difficult to treat. MAYBE IT WON’T KILL ANY PATIENT BUT, WHAT IS LIFE IF ALL WE CAN FEEL IS PAIN?
