Coast to Coast Ironman Triathlon UK - Diabetes UK
In September of 2015, Adam Gorrill ran, swam, ran and cycled the width of the Britain in a single day totalling 163 miles.
Starting at Seascale in Cumbria on the west coast he ran to Wast Water (the UK’s deepest lake) and swam the 3 mile length, then ran to the peak of the England’s highest mountain, Scafell Pike, before jumping on his bike and cycling across the rest of Cumbria, the Yorkshire Dales and over to Whitby on the east coast. This was all in aid of Diabetes UK and to bring awareness to the ever increasing problem.
To everyone who supported me, cheered me on, waited in the cold for me in Whitby, sponsored equipment, fed me, watered me and captured the moment – I could not have done it without you, thank you.
Postnote. Due to limited daylight there are sections of this day-long adventure that sadly got missed so my apologies if it has gaps in the day!
