Craig Watson: I learned to control my diabetes without medication.
When Craig Watson was first diagnosed with diabetes, his physician prescribed medication, and signed Craig up for the Baylor Scott & White Health diabetes education program. “I learned the lifestyle changes I needed to make and set a goal of getting off medication within nine months.” Then he dusted off his unused gym membership and started eating right. “I lost 65 pounds and beat my goal by four months. No more shots or pills.” Craig credits much of his success to support from his physician, instructor and classmates. “It takes a team to fight diabetes.” Today, he returns the favor by mentoring other diabetes patients through the social media support group he founded.
