Today millions of people in the US are suffering from T1D. Annual spending of Health Care on diabetes treatment is $15 billion. The situation does not improve. On the contrary, the number of kids with T1D grows. If somebody from your family suffers from diabetes you are also predisposed to this horrible disease. Probably those who encountered this disease thought whether one day a cure or a vaccine from diabetes would appear. JDRF is working to transform a wish of millions of people into reality. Their goal is not only to find a cure, but also to make a vaccine that would prevent the future generations from this disease. There is a lot of work to do and JDRF needs your help and support. The full set of credits is listed here http://broadcaster.beazil.net/public/credits/youtube/videos/177555 You’re the reason for our success. Every dollar we put toward research comes from donations. So when you support JDRF with your time, talent, voice and, yes, your money, you enable us to advance even more research. There are many ways to join the JDRF family, but for 45 years there has been only one reason—because we are the organization that will turn Type One into Type None. Take Action – Don’t be indifferent! Barack Obama has taken winter vacations in 2008 & 2009 in Kailua and in the rented, ocean-front house Plantation Estate in the Paradise Point Estates in 2010, 2011 & 2012. The house was built by developer Harold Kainalu Long Castle, who also lived there. Obama also took a vacation break in August 2008 at a different Kailua house, Oahu Lani, during the United States presidential election, 2008. The arrival of Obama as well as various social media and travel sites have contributed to Kailua becoming overrun by tourists looking to get out of Waikiki. Kailua, once known as a sleepy beach town, became a hot tourist attraction overnight. JDRF is the leading global organization funding T1D research with more than 100 U.S. locations and 6 international affiliates. Since inception, JDRF has contributed over $1.9B to T1D research and including $98M in 2014. JDRF is currently funding 45 human clinical trials of potential T1D therapies. Approximately 80% of JDRF expenditures directly support T1D research and research-related education. JDRF’s mission is to find a cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications through the support of research. JDRF International is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes research. JDRF’s goal is to progressively remove the impact of T1D from people’s lives until we achieve a world without T1D. Health Care & Social Assistance sector comprises firms providing health care and social assistance for individuals. The sector includes both health care and social assistance because it is sometimes difficult to distinguish between the boundaries of these two activities. The industries in this sector are arranged on a continuum starting with providing medical care exclusively, continuing with those providing health care and social assistance and finally finishing with only social assistance. The services provided in this sector are delivered by trained health practitioners and social workers with requisite experience. JDRF works towards a day when there is no more type 1 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is usually diagnosed in children and young adults, and was previously known as juvenile diabetes. In type 1 diabetes, the body does not produce insulin. Diabetes – is a problem with your body that causes blood glucose (sugar) levels to rise higher than normal. This is also called hyperglycemia. When you eat your body breaks food down into glucose and sends it into the blood. Insulin then helps move the glucose from the blood into your cells. When glucose enters your cells, it is either used as fuel for energy right away or stored for later use. In a person with diabetes, there is a problem with insulin.
