Dr. Paul Rosen: The use of Osstell for everyday clinical decisions... At the Osstell Scientific Symposium 2010
Lecture at the Osstell Scientific Symosium 2010
Lecture title: The use of Osstell for everyday clinical decision making with dental implants
Dr. Paul Rosen
Clinical Associate Professor of Periodontics, University of Maryland Dental School, Baltimore, Maryland USA, Private Practice: Yardley, Pennsylvania USA
Dr. Rosen speaks about how Osstell can be used for everyday clinical decisions concerning dental implants. He provides the audience with some good examples of the importance of re-measuring – that is, taking a new ISQ reading after the initial procedure – before final restoration to avoid unnecessary failures and costs. Dr. Rosen also stress a few typical cases where he uses ISQ, such as immediate placement, patients with type 1 diabetes, and patients for whom a prior implant failed.
