Ellena Badrick, Health eResearch Centre, The Farr Institute
On the 9th and 10th June the next generation of health data scientists from across The Farr Institute’s four UK-wide centres came together for the first annual Farr PhD Symposium.
Over two days the twenty-six students were tasked with delivering either an oral presentation or a poster presentation and all were invited to make a short video about their PhD projects.
This video features Ellena Badrick from Farr@HeRC, studying at The University of Manchester. Ellena’s PhD project is investigating multiple timescales in predictive modelling with particular reference for developing risk prediction for early cancer detection in patients with diabetes.
