Take Action – Don’t be indifferent! All Video Credits are listed here http://broadcaster.beazil.net/public/credits/youtube/videos/182928 Seven people told about their experience at the JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes. Everyone during the ride has his own reason to ride and help JDRF. Mike, a T1D rider said that it’s not about being a cyclist, it’s about putting control in the hands of those, affected by T1D. After the ride, Carissa, also a T1D rider became more open about her disease and changed her opinion and even feeling of T1D. She was not a rider at all, but the event changed her complete vision of herself. Robert and John, father and uncle of a T1D child ride for their boy and it’s not a race, it’s a ride to cure the disease. Also it’s a kind a race for the treatment. Tim, JDRF Ride coach, first joined the ride just like a coach and he saw all those people his opinion changed immediately. For Nancy and Tom, parents of a child with T1D, this ride gives a hope for better future. JDRF is leading the way in establishing measurement guidelines and holding itself accountable to supporters. JDRF has developed transparent organizational goals, as well as a set of research and advocacy objectives and outcomes for the current year by which organizational success will be measured. For now, doctors don’t know the exact reason that lead to T1D, but they do know that your genes play a role. They also know that Type 1 Diabetes can result when something in the environment, like a virus, tells your immune system to go after your pancreas. Most of people with T1D have signs of this attack, called autoantibodies. They are presented in almost everyone who has the condition when their blood sugar is high. Type 1 diabetes can happen along with other autoimmune diseases, like Grave’s disease or vitiligo. The symptoms are often subtle, but can become severe. In 1942, Copperas Cove received new life when the US government located Camp Hood next to the struggling community. By the time the cantonment was upgraded to Fort Hood in 1950, the town had over a thousand residents. The population continued to increase rapidly, reaching almost 5,000 in 1960 and more than doubling each of the next two decades, eventually coming to the present count of 32,032 at the 2010 census. During this period, the city limits greatly expanded, encompassing acres of newly built tract housing with upgraded roads and services. The establishment of the fort drastically altered the character of the city. Health Care and Social Assistance comprises establishments primarily engaged in providing health care by diagnosis and treatment, providing residential care for medical and social reasons, and providing social assistance, such as counselling, welfare, child protection, community housing and food services, vocational rehabilitation and child care, to those requiring such assistance.Excluded from this sector are aerobic classes in Amusement, Gambling, and Recreation Industries and nonmedical diet and weight reducing centers in Personal and Laundry Services. Although these can be viewed as health services, these services are not typically delivered by health practitioners.
