That’s why we invest in multiple therapeutic approaches to cure, prevent and treat T1D. Annual spending of Health Care on diabetes treatment is $15 billion. The situation does not improve. On the contrary, the number of kids with T1D grows. If somebody from your family suffers from diabetes you are also predisposed to this horrible disease. Probably those who encountered this disease thought whether one day a cure or a vaccine from diabetes would appear. JDRF is working to transform a wish of millions of people into reality. Their goal is not only to find a cure, but also to make a vaccine that would prevent the future generations from this disease. There is a lot of work to do and JDRF needs your help and support. JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. JDRF’s goal is to progressively remove the impact of T1D from people’s lives until we achieve a world without T1D. Excluded from this sector are aerobic classes in Subsector 713, Amusement, Gambling, and Recreation Industries and nonmedical diet and weight reducing centers in Subsector 812, Personal and Laundry Services. Although these can be viewed as health services, these services are not typically delivered by health practitioners. People with T1D would never benefit from JDRF-funded innovations without our donors. The work to create transformational therapies to help people live with T1D cannot—and must not—be allowed to stop because dedicated researchers lack funds. Laboratory studies that are unlocking the mysteries of T1D and accelerating progress toward a cure and prevention must continue. With the generous help of supporters, JDRF is pursuing a diversified, dynamic research agenda that is moving us ever closer to a world without T1D. JDRF is committed to doing the greatest good for the largest number of people in the shortest amount of time so we understand the importance of funding these trials. By the late 1990s and through the early years of the new millennium, Newark renewed its commitment to preserving its downtown core through the establishment, in 1998, of the tripartite – city, university, business community – Downtown Newark Partnership. As part of that change, the City Planning Department assumed the responsibility for management of the old Newark Parking Authority’s downtown off-street parking facilities. The city’s downtown and historic building incentive programs led to renewed landowner and developer commitments downtown exemplified by the construction of Main Street Court, Center Square, Main Street Plaza and Pomeroy Station.
