Zac Colley brought something special with him to Offline Camp this June: his insulin. As a Type 1 diabetic, he needs to check his blood sugars regularly and inject insulin when he eats. But thanks to new applications and wearable devices, the olden days of endless finger-pricking are behind him. In his passion talk, Zac shared with us some new options for tracking and transmitting diabetes data, and even hacking it when need be.
Participants at the first ever Offline Camp had diverse backgrounds and interests, ranging far beyond the Offline First approach that we came together to discuss. Through short passion talks, campers shared with us some of the hobbies, projects, and technologies that excite them. Here’s a taste of that passion for you as a preview to Offline Camp California (November 4–7, 2016). Learn more at: offlinefirst.org/camp
