"I'm Like You!" American Diabetes Association Day at the Fair
4th of 4 PSA’s (30s) produced for Social Media ads and for the American Diabetes Association website
AUDIENCE: Both longtime donors to the ADA, as well as reaching out to a much younger donor base.
MESSAGE: Diabetics have the same “likes” and aspirations as everyone else. These spots promote the ADA Day at the Washington State Fair in Puyallup. This event was a reset of the longtime Step Out! series of Walks to Stop Diabetes, which had previously been located at a large urban park. This PSA was the most “content-rich” and serious in a series that were intended to convey the Fun at the Fair.
APPROACH: Juxtaposing interviews with 2 preteens and a senior with diabetes, letting them speak to their life with the disease, which increasingly knows no age boundaries.
OUTCOME: more than 300 attended the event and raised more than $80,000 for the work of the ADA.
TESTIMONIAL: I have had the pleasure of working with Terry Simpson at TVisions for several years. His professionalism and attention to detail is evident in every phase of the video production process. He takes the time to understand the client’s needs from the start to ensure there are no surprises and completes projects on time and on budget. I highly recommend Terry for all of your video production needs! –Paul Tobin, Corporate Development Officer, Northwest Region, American Diabetes Assoc.
