This video presents a beautiful traditional floral #Arabic mehndi design for hands with the fusion of ornamental #jewelry design. We have published it especially for #karwachauth festival.

This mehndi design has two significant parts. One is an array of flowers and the other one is the jewelry style chains.

The design starts with making a flower on thumb which you can watch at 0:18 in the video. Then a beautiful array of flowers is made at the back hand which follows a curved path and ends beneath the root of the small finger. The size of the flowers are in decreasing order which gives this mehndi design an alluring look.

The last flower has a connective chain of henna paste with dots on equal distances. This chain resembles a gold jewelry look. You can watch it at 1:17 in this mehndi tutorial video.

1:22 to 1:46, you can watch the beautiful rings are made in this design with mehndi. Then at 1:47 to 2:00, the ring of third finger is connected with middle finger and the index finger’s ring with 2 equidistant curved chains decorated with dots.

Further more, the ring of third finger is connected with the ring of last finger with one more chain at 2:08.

Last but not least, the fingers are decorated with traditional arabic mehndi style which you can watch at 2:15 in the video.

Overall, this compilation makes this mehndi design a fabulous mehndi design for back hands.

Applying Mehndi on hands and feet by girls and women in India is an essential part of their makeup, fashion and to look trendy along with a ritual, cultural and auspicious aspect of applying mehndi designs.

In Pakistan, henna is used on hands and feet by brides before their wedding, and by many women for Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.

In Saudi Arabia, prenuptial Henna nights are common. Traditionally the bride’s hands are painted with henna by one of her female relatives.

In Malaysia, Henna has been used to adorn women’s palms, arms and feet as part of pre-wedding celebrations, Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.

In Somalia, henna is worn by Somali women on their hands, arms, feet and neck during weddings, Eid ul-Fitr, Ramadan, and other festive occasions. Somali henna designs are similar to the Arabian peninsula mehndi designs featuring flower motifs and triangular shapes.

In the State of Israel and in the Middle East many sfaradi/mizrachi and middle eastern communities and families organize a henna party about a week before the wedding. The grandmother applies the henna onto the palms of the bride and groom and they are blessed.

In Tunisia, prenuptial henna celebrations last for seven days. On the 3rd day, the bride wears a traditional dress and has henna painted on her hands and feet. As for the groom, his pinky finger is painted with henna.

In Turkey, henna is applied onto the palm’s of a bride the day before her wedding and to other guest’s attending.
