KETOGENIC DIET!!! Low Carbs, High Fat equals happy brain and body + Type-3 Diabetes
The Ketogenic diet consists of high fat, adequate protein, and low carbs/sugars. It has long been an effective treatment for epilepsy and has successfully been used to combat type-2 diabetes and pre-diabetes. This diet could even prove useful in treating other blood sugar disorders… possibly even Alzheimer’s disease. This is due to the fact that Alzheimer’s has recently been linked ever more-so to diabetes, and new possibly pathophysiologies have been suggested that involve glucose and insulin dysfunction.
The very idea that a diet rich in carbohydrates is healthy has questionable roots with little science to back up this starchy and grainy claim. Especially now our society is sugar crazed and coincidentally, statistically speaking, we have gotten quite fat.
