It’s ok if you have no possibility to Donate, but have a desire to help! You can Spread The Word about T1D on your Social Networks. One of the most effective ways to spread the word is to share on Facebook. First step is to click on F icon on the left-side of your screen, if you are not logged in, please enter your credentials, by your choice, you can write your own message to your friends. Second step is to choose audience, who will see your post (Public/Only Friends) and last step is to click “Post”. That’s It! Only 15 seconds can make a difference! Don’t miss this great opportunity to help! See full list of Video Credits http://broadcaster.beazil.net/public/credits/youtube/videos/193420 You’re the reason for our success. Every dollar we put toward research comes from donations. So when you support JDRF with your time, talent, voice and, yes, your money, you enable us to advance even more research. There are many ways to join the JDRF family, but for 45 years there has been only one reason—because we are the organization that will turn Type One into Type None. Take Action – Don’t be indifferent! Eat, shop and be merry! Whether you’re craving fresh local seafood, margaritas and Mexican, authentic local barbeque, a sports bar, soul food or any ethnic flavor you’re sure to find it in Port St. Lucie. Choose from casual to dressy, waterfront tiki-style to plaza bistros and inexpensive to top-dollar. Get your shop on at unique boutiques and familiar national retailers in our several shopping districts. After it’s all said and done, choose from several entertainment options ranging from tiki bars to billiards to bowling. It’s pure fun for an adventurous couple or a family outing. People with T1D would never benefit from JDRF-funded innovations without our donors. The work to create transformational therapies to help people live with T1D cannot—and must not—be allowed to stop because dedicated researchers lack funds. Laboratory studies that are unlocking the mysteries of T1D and accelerating progress toward a cure and prevention must continue. With the generous help of supporters, JDRF is pursuing a diversified, dynamic research agenda that is moving us ever closer to a world without T1D. JDRF is committed to doing the greatest good for the largest number of people in the shortest amount of time so we understand the importance of funding these trials. Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is an autoimmune disease in which a person’s pancreas stops producing insulin. It occurs when the body’s immune system attacks and destroys the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas, called beta cells. While its causes are not yet entirely understood, scientists believe that both genetic factors and environmental triggers are involved. Its onset has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle. There is nothing you can do to prevent T1D, and—at present—nothing you can do to get rid of it. While people with T1D rely on insulin therapy to control their blood sugar, insulin is not a cure nor does it prevent the possibility of the disease’s serious side effects. Health Care & Social Assistance sector comprises firms providing health care and social assistance for individuals. The sector includes both health care and social assistance because it is sometimes difficult to distinguish between the boundaries of these two activities. The industries in this sector are arranged on a continuum starting with providing medical care exclusively, continuing with those providing health care and social assistance and finally finishing with only social assistance. The services provided in this sector are delivered by trained health practitioners and social workers with requisite experience.
