Proyecto MercadoFRESCO in East Los Angeles
Innovative classes at two high schools, the development of young community health leaders, social marketing campaigns and the transformation of two corner stores in East L.A. are among the outcomes of Proyecto MercadoFRESCO. A multi-year, multi-pronged approach to improve cardiovascular health in East L.A. and Boyle Heights, Proyecto MercadoFRESCO is a project of the UCLA-USC Center for Population Health and Health Disparities (CPHHD), funded by the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI).
