Little Lynn and Damian are T1D kids and they need a cure to make their lives better in future. It’s not so easy to be a T1D child so everyone’s donation can make a difference. November is a universal diabetes month so everyone can take part in T1D people’s lives. Damian and Lynn needs cure and every T1D kid needs a cure. JDRF research team does its best to find the cure as soon as possible. Lynn is a wonderful little boy who at his six seems to know all the danger of T1D, but little Damian, who is only two, can only repeat this queer name of T1D. This November help JDRF raise awareness and educate others on life with T1D.

The work to create transformational therapies to help people live with T1D cannot—and must not—be allowed to stop because dedicated researchers lack funds. Laboratory studies that are unlocking the mysteries of T1D and accelerating progress toward a cure and prevention must continue. With the generous help of supporters like you, JDRF is pursuing a diversified, dynamic research agenda that is moving us ever closer to a world without T1D. If you live with T1D, you spend a lot of time thinking about your blood-sugar levels now and worrying about the complications that T1D may one day bring. As of 2010-2014, the total population of Oakton is 36,860, which is 25.60% more than it was in 2000. The population growth rate is much higher than the state average rate of 15.63% and is much higher than the national average rate of 11.61%. The Oakton population density is 3,765.01 people per square mile, which is much higher than the state average density of 191.35 people per square mile and is much higher than the national average density of 82.73 people per square mile. The most prevalent race in Oakton is white, which represent 65.61% of the total population. The average Oakton education level is higher than the state average and is higher than the national average. JDRF has led the search for a cure for T1D since our founding in 1970. In those days, people commonly called the disease “juvenile diabetes” because it was frequently diagnosed in, and strongly associated with, young children. Our organization began as the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. Later, to emphasize exactly how we planned to end the disease, we added a word and became the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.Today, we know an equal number of children and adults are diagnosed every day—approximately 110 people per day. Thanks to better therapies—which JDRF funding has been instrumental in developing and making available—people with T1D live longer and stay healthier while they await the cure.
