Sugary drinks could put you at higher risk for diabetes
A new study links sugar-sweetened beverages to type-2 diabetes. Researchers at Tufts University analyzed more than 1,600 middle-aged adults. Those who regularly consumed sugar-sweetened beverages had a 46-percent higher risk of later developing pre-diabetes. However, no link was found with diet sodas. More research is needed to prove if a link between diabetes and sugary drinks exist.
