You’re the reason for our success. Every dollar we put toward research comes from donations. So when you support JDRF with your time, talent, voice and, yes, your money, you enable us to advance even more research. There are many ways to join the JDRF family, but for 45 years there has been only one reason—because we are the organization that will turn Type One into Type None. Take Action – Don’t be indifferent! List of all video credits is located here http://broadcaster.beazil.net/public/credits/youtube/videos/202689 Wellington Florida has the best weather year round in the United States. The summer months usually consist of temperatures in the 70’s and 80’s while the winter months may drop into the 60’s, sometimes a tad colder, but a majority of the year it is sunny and green. Hurricanes do visit Wellington on occasion, but no matter where you live in the United States there will always be extreme weather conditions or natural disasters to contend with. However unlike an earthquake or tornado we know days in advance that a hurricane might be stopping by and can prepare a head of time. Hurricane season in Florida runs from June 1st through November 30th and in September we typically experience quite a bit of rain, which the amount varies each year. We are JDRF – Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. We won’t stop until we create a world without T1D (type one diabetes). We are committed to eradicating type 1 diabetes and its effects for everyone with type 1, and at risk of developing it. T1D treatment options are improving all the time. We are driving research to improve the technology people with T1D use to monitor blood sugar levels and research that will ultimately deliver a cure. Diabetes is a lifelong condition that causes a person’s blood sugar (glucose) level to become too high. The hormone insulin – is responsible for controlling the amount of glucose in the blood. JDRF’s Mission: is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by this disease. Carling Nolan, a professional golf player has T1D. She shares her life story and T1D experience. Her disease didn’t prevent her from become a professional sport-player. Her life isn’t easy but she struggles every day and JDRF has her back. Carling dreams to become like her father and her dreams came true. Even though people told her that having diabetes would make that an impossible thing. Nolan has just picked the sport that was slower passed, packed her golf bag full of juice boxes and hit the course. Carling instantly fell in love with this sport and diabetes never slowed her down. Diabetes doesn’t stop her, she is a professional golfer for 4 years now. Nolan’s T1D let her to JDRF and the amazing work they do. JDRF works every day to change the reality of this disease for millions of people—and to prevent anyone else from ever knowing it—by funding research, advocating for government support of research and new therapies, ensuring new therapies come to market and connecting and engaging the T1D community.
