Work And The Weak Bladder
It might seem bad enough that you have to endure having a weak bladder. But it can seem even worse to have to deal with your weak bladder while you are at work. It would be so nice if you could still get paid, and deal with your bladder in your own way at home. Since this isn’t possible and people are expected to report to work no matter what the situation, you need to find ways that you can work, and deal with your urinary issues. Here are some tips on how to do just that:
First, make sure that you have plenty of supplies on hand. You can make things easier for yourself if you keep a “grab bag” in one of your drawers at your work desk. This grab bag will have a change or two of underpants, protective liners or pads, wipes, and probably some hand sanitizer in case you can’t get hold of soap. You can bring your own supplies of course in your briefcase or satchel, but you should keep an emergency supply at work so that you don’t have to worry about forgetting anything.
Next, try not to drink anything caffeinated. This will be a challenge and a half, because who doesn’t want their morning coffee? Even if you drink decaffeinated, the water content will still make you use the bathroom. In any case, caffeinated drinks are dehydrating and the water has to come out somewhere. So you will have the urge to use the bathroom more. Keep this in mind, and try to ration out the number of times that you drink.
Having said this, do drink water to stay hydrated. If you don’t drink enough water, your urine will build up, become strong and odorous, and you will set your bladder up for infection. What you can do so that you don’t weigh your weak bladder down, is take careful sips of water throughout the day.
Depending on your work environment, you might have to take extra steps and measures to manage your weak bladder. For example, if you work in a call center, or in a cubicle farm, then get with the supervisor to sit by the door. This way you can break away to the restroom in a hurry. If you have to sit down for long periods of time and you wear a diaper or heavy liner, bring lots of changes so that you can stay a fresh as possible.
Maintaining your health when you have a weak bladder, and you have to report to the office can seem like a huge challenge. However, you can do it, and all will go well for you with careful planning.
